What's a Sunflower Log?

I like sunflowers. I like standing underneath them, too. These are in our backyard. When mom said she was planting sunflowers I didn't really know what she meant, but now I do. I'm not sure if dad likes them. He keeps muttering something about "you know who's going to have to deal with the damn sunflower logs when those things die? I am." Silly dad - these aren't logs, they're flowers!
